had a talk with my older brother a week or so ago. talked with me bout the option of goin into the military and doin the officer program thing. pretty much went over the kind of pay and the shit id be doin and lookin at now that i have my bachelors degree. pretty much told me how id be makin about how much he is makin right now after a 2yrs (hes been in the army for 11yrs now) and after six yrs id be makin like $76k. cotdayum. foreal?! and he said it was pretty much guaranteed, given that i dont get in trouble with drugs and having sex with females under my command. haha. nice.
so. wat to do? before this i was thinkin bout goin to nursing school... an accelerated program. id have to pay for that tho and add to an already large debt to make it a ludicrous debt. great. and then get paid an RN salary after that? from my public health classes they only make a median avg of 60k. yeah...uh...by then id be in debt bout that much. its not lookin good so far for me goin to nursing school.
i asked a couple ppl.. and they always seem to say.. dont do it if ur heart aint into it. while yeah.. that may be the case.. u know what my brother told me? he said,'i hate officers, cuz of the ridiculous amounts of money they get paid for how dumb as shit they are and for the bullshit things that they DONT have to do, but your my brother, and i love you, and if i were you, id join tomorrow, cuz, it will, in all honesty, be the easiest money youll ever make, id want u, and my sons to be officers too, life would be sweet.' now how do u beat that fuckin statement?
so...time to accelerate my life as their tv ads go? haha. i dunno. but i do know..robby is either gonna do the navy or marines and theirs a buddy system thing where u can join and shit with a friend, in this case a 'brho'. wouldnt mind that...itll be like pledging again. instead of 10wks itll be 8wks of pledging, err, bootcamp, haha. robby can finally see what it would be like to pledge with a legendary kappa king. none of that 'lame'da shit. haha.
so wat would i do in the navy? heres the results of possible careers after takin a mini quiz on their website... seems pretty accurate enough...
